Between Two Worlds

A documentary series about the hours you don’t remember living.

You spend a third of your life asleep and remember almost none of it. Everyone dreams every night. Most of us have just forgotten how to bring them back, and that is a skill you can relearn. Between Two Worlds is an eight-part series about what the mind does in those hours from thirty-two experts who have spent their lifetime uncovering it.

Neuroscientists and Shamans, at the Same Table

Most conversations about dreams pick a side. Either they are neurological housekeeping with the brain filing paperwork while the lights are off, or they are something else. Rehearsals, warnings, maybe messages from beyond.

We refused to pick. Sleep researchers and psychics, Jungian analysts and remote viewers, clinical psychologists and a Tibetan Bön master, thirty-two of them. We asked them all the same questions. What we did not expect was how often they were saying the same thing in different languages.

Across eight episodes: symbols and archetypes, nightmares and trapped trauma, the collective unconscious, lucid dreaming, premonitions, and even consciousness itself. Some of what you will hear was measured in a laboratory. Some of it was not. We think you can hold both.
